On MSNBC: Republican Abortion Laws Are the Modern-Day Slavery/Jim Crow!

A guest on Saturday's edition of MSNBC's The Weekend, Goodwin, a constitutional law professor at Georgetown, somehow managed to make a connection between post-Dobbs laws limiting abortions and slavery and Jim Crow laws, specifically including those restricting the ability of African-Americans to play checkers and chess.

Co-host Michael Steele—who surely professed pro-life views back when he was running for and serving as RNC Chairman—teed up Goodwin, saying that the driving force behind the new laws is a Republican desire to control women.

Goodwin took that a giant step further, claiming that "cruelty is the point behind all of this. I've been saying, this is the new Jane Crow."

Noting that it was Mississippi that brought the Dobbs case, Goodwin noted:

"This is the Mississippi that placed black women in slavery. That denied them the opportunity to vote. That restricted them and their children from walking in parks. Playing in swimming pools. Even being able to play checkers, and chess, and billiards. Actually written into law . . . This is taking playbook, pages of playbooks, from back pre-slavery. We really must understand and connect the old thread to the new. What was old is new again."

She’s in the O’Neill Institute. Before I zoomed in to read the letters better I thought it said the Orwell Institute. It does seem like we are living in Orwellian times

Idiot liberals need to understand that slavery and Jim Crow law were exclusive hallmarks of the Democrat Party.

What would the far left, communist azhos have if they didn’t have the slavery boogieman to pimp all the time. Communists have kept more people in slavery than cotton growers ever did.

Well they’re right that abortion laws are very much like slavery but they’re more like dem slavery laws

As they simply declare a ‘human being” is not a “human being”

and then you can dispose of the non-human as property

This issue, to me, clearly shows Extremist Progressive Marxist Democrats do not have the foggiest grasp of what State’s rights are pursuant to the Constitution, and what rights are expressly delegated to the Federal Government.

Even if Congress passed some kind of nation-wide abortion law, it would be unconstitutional. The issue is to be determined by the States. That is what the SC ruled.

Of course, that is incomprehensible to Constitutional morons and Marxists.

Historically, abortion keeps the black population down since most abortions are performed on black women.

Worked a lot with Michael Steele in the 90’s in Prince George’s county Maryland for the Republican Party.

He was normal back then.

He became a Lieutenant Governor and went full blown Communist

No question leftists pretended to be conservatives to infiltrate the Republican Party.

Trump weeded them all out.

Demographic, yes. But by sheer numbers ... no.

In it is a direct line between abortion and the “need” for immigration in the minds of elites. Rather that a nation’s vital vested interest being in replenishing its population from its own people, abortion places interest with those who murder that posterity. It is evil, selfish and godless.

Abortions can be obtained by adults crossing state lines. Oh the slavery of it all!

No, slaves and those affected by Jim Crow had no choice in the matter. Women (and men) who don’t want to conceive a child have a choice.

An inconvenient truth, which should be talked about. Of course, people who refuse to be respnsible in their personal lives won’t want to hear that, nor will the abortion racketeers and their political allies who benefit from the slaughter of innocents.
