IDF: The IDF struck dozens of Hezbollah terrorist targets overnight as part of Operation “Northern Arrows”

Overnight (Tuesday), with the direction of IDF intelligence, the IAF struck dozens of Hezbollah targets in numerous areas in southern Lebanon.
During the strikes, the IDF struck the Hezbollah terrorist cell that carried out the attack and the launchers that were used to fire at the HaAmakim area overnight.

Furthermore, IDF artillery and tanks struck additional terrorist targets in the area of Ayta ash Shab and Ramyeh in southern Lebanon.

The IDF spokesperson reports that in each volley launched tonight, approximately five rockets were fired. This suggests the involvement of around one launcher per volley.

Hezbollah is adopting a strategy of attrition. For example, during Ibrahim Aqil’s funeral two days ago, Naim Qassem stated that the objective is to economically suffocate Israel, emphasizing that Hezbollah is indeed focusing on an approach of exhaustion. This shift to an attrition strategy represents, to some extent, a departure from the “win by points” approach in favor of a “win by not losing” approach.

Despite this, it is likely that Hezbollah has not yet abandoned efforts to carry out kidnappings within Israeli territory to achieve some tactical or operational goal. Alternatively, it may claim that any damage inflicted on Israeli territory constitutes points “earned” in the conflict.
