A popular influencer has passionately hit out at 'misogynistic' online trolls for criticising Margot Robbie's appearance during her pregnancy.
Body-positive social media star Alex Light took to Instagram to share a video drawing attention to the 'harmful' comments directed at Margot, who is expecting her first child with her husband Tom Ackerley.
She read out a string of 'ridiculous' social media comments predominantly left by male users directed at Margot's pregnant body which cruelly rated her appearance.
Alex passionately hit back at the criticism of the Hollywood star as she slammed 'impossible and unachievable societal expectations' in a body-confident message.
She fumed at how 'ridiculous' it is that Margot, 34, who she said is considered to be 'the most beautiful woman on the planet', has still been targeted by vicious trolls.
'I think we should let this serve as a reminder that no matter who we are or no matter what we look like, our bodies and the way we look will always be scrutinised,' she said.
'So let's just let ourselves live and be free of the burden of these impossible and unachievable societal expectations that affect literally all of us.
'For the record, Margot Robbie looks great and she should be allowed to just enjoy her holiday without people dissecting how her body is changing.'

In a caption, Alex added: 'I mean HONESTLY it's just ridiculous at this point.
'And it just goes to show that no matter WHO you are - even if you are Margot f**king Robbie and considered to be like the most beautiful women on the planet - people will have *something* to say.
'Essentially, there's no way to win, so we might as well free ourselves of the harmful standards and just focus our attention outside of how we look.'
Many of her 569,000 followers were quick to share in her outrage as they took to the comments section to slam the 'misogynistic' remarks and 'double standards'.
'Men hate us for not wanting children and hate us when we're carrying a child. Make it make sense,' one raged.
Another wrote: 'But it's acceptable to have a dad bod when you're not growing any life,' while a third said: '''I would never let my girl get that big when she gets pregnant'' is an extremely concerning statement.'
A fourth penned: 'What a factory of red flags those people are,' and a fifth commented: 'She's growing a person, how she gonna do that without her body changing?'
Another added: 'Notice that all the comments are from men saying Margot - a visibly very slim woman, even while pregnant - is too big.

'Like if this woman was any smaller her pregnancy would most likely be a high risk one.
'Men literally will not be happy until women disappear. This isn't really about how she looks. It's about misogyny.'

Margot's jovial pregnancy news emerged in July and the expectant mother has been seen showing off her blossoming baby bump during a string of public outings in recent days.
In July, an insider told People how Margot and Tom - who are yet to speak publicly about their growing family - have long wanted to have a child together but are currently keeping things low-key.
'Family means a lot to both of them and they knew early on in their relationship being parents was something they really wanted,' they shared.
