An Overwatch 2 player has other users convinced Blizzard needs to hire him after creating a brilliant change to one hero’s mediocre perk.
Perks have completely changed Overwatch, giving players way more options throughout a match by greatly enhancing their hero’s abilities.
While some perks have buffed heroes to the moon, others have left quite a lot to be desired. One such example is Cassidy’s ‘Past Noon’ perk which refunds ultimate charge on Dead Eye when letting it expire.
This isn’t the best option, primarily because players rarely ever let the ultimate last the entire duration without triggering the killshots to begin with.
However, one user has figured out a brilliant fix to this perk using the Overwatch Workshop and players want to see this change added to the game in a future patch.
Overwatch 2 player finds simple fix to Cassidy’s worst perk
In a post, user SammyIsSeiso demonstrated how they believe the perk should function.
“When you use High Noon, the ult meter will now begin charging again, starting at 5% and gaining another 5% every 1s it’s channeled,” they explained. “Using the ultimate will obviously set this back to 0%, but canceling the ultimate or letting it expire will refund the amount shown on the ult meter. The minimum you can be refunded being 5% and the maximum being 40%.”
In the video, you can this change in action and it’s a rather simple fix – something Blizzard could easily implement if they wanted.
Other players were impressed by this option and some even urged Blizzard to hire SammyIsSeiso full-time.
“Fantastic idea, nice work here. Hopefully Blizzard sees this,” one praised.
“Blizzard hire this man,” someone else proclaimed.
“You should apply!” encouraged another.
It’s unclear if Blizzard will actually make this change themselves, but given the reception it received, this could be an easy win for the developers of the hero shooter.
