They didn’t hook up, though.
Paige DeSorbo said she texted “Saturday Night Live” star Marcello Hernandez to apologize after rumors suggested she cheated with him and their alleged hookup was the reason for her and Craig Conover’s split.
“I was like, ‘Hey, umm … just wanna let you know there’s, like, a rumor going around that I cheated on my boyfriend with you,’ and he was like, ‘F–k yeah!'” she recalled on Tuesday’s episode of her “The Giggly Squad” podcast.
DeSorbo, 32, further told her podcast co-host, Hannah Berner, that Marcello, 27, received hate messages over the situation.
“I was like, ‘Marcello, I am so f–king sorry — like this is so embarrassing,'” she added.
The reality star said she usually doesn’t “care about any rumor that is ever said” about her but felt “weird” because there was a third party involved and she was uncertain if Hernandez had a girlfriend.
She previously addressed the rumors by commenting on a TikTok video discussing them. “See you in court,” she joked at the time.
Conover, 36, never commented on the gossip, which DeSorbo seemingly pointed out during Tuesday’s podcast episode.
“No one involved was defending me which I found interesting,” she noted.
DeSorbo announced their split on the Dec. 30 episode of “The Giggly Squad” and confirmed that there was no bad blood between her and Conover.
“I love him. I think he loves me. I think we will remain friends,” she suggested. “No one did anything. It wasn’t a bad thing.”
“I think we both were just being really mature and saying what we want and what we didn’t want, and I think that’s extremely powerful to be able to voice how you’re feeling in real time and what you want for your future,” she further explained.
Conover addressed their breakup for the first time on Tuesday, telling fans via Instagram that the new development in his relationship status was “very unexpected.”
“And it’s OK,” he confirmed.
“It takes two people to be in a relationship, and you can’t control other people. You can only control how you react to it, so.”
Page Six exclusively confirmed their relationship in October 2021.
DeSorbo foreshadowed their seemingly inevitable split in the “Summer House” Season 9 trailer, which dropped last month.
“Me and Craig are gonna break up, and everything I have will, like, go away,” she said while sobbing in bed with her co-star Ciara Miller.
