Palworld’s developers have fueled speculation about a potential Fortnite crossover after the hit survival game appeared in a new Epic Games player survey.
Palworld has enjoyed a massive resurgence following its 1.0 launch, climbing to nearly 962,000 concurrent players on Steam during its second weekend. While that remains below its record of more than 2.1 million players from 2024, it marks one of the game’s biggest peaks since its original early-access release.
Fortnite leaker HYPEX shared info from a Fortnite survey asking players whether they had played Palworld during the previous two weeks. Epic regularly uses surveys to measure interest in games, characters, and other properties, although appearing in one does not guarantee that a crossover will happen.
Palworld developer asks fans to choose a Fortnite skin
Shortly after the survey began circulating, Pocketpair publishing and communications lead John “Bucky” Buckley asked fans which of Palworld 1.0’s new creatures they would want to see transformed into a Fortnite outfit.
“Theoretically, hypothetically, conceptually, and spiritually… if any of the new Pals in 1.0 were to get a skin, which would it be and what would the skin be?” he wrote.
Theoretically, hypothetically, conceptually, and spiritually…if, with absolutely no promise of it being realized or coming to fruition ever, but if…capital I and capital F…IF…any of the new Pals in 1.0 were to get a skin, which would it be and what would the skin be?

Bucky repeatedly stressed that there was “absolutely no promise” that the idea would ever be realized, but the timing immediately sparked crossover speculation among fans.
It is not the first time Pocketpair has publicly expressed interest in working with Epic Games.
In January 2026, Bucky responded to Fortnite gameplay producer Robby Williams praising Palworld by saying, “If you ever want to put Palworld in Fortnite just reach out hehe.” Williams had also said he would “love” to see Fortnite explore a creature-collecting experience inspired by games such as Palworld and Pokemon.
The latest exchange also arrives just as Fortnite prepares to launch Cuddles & Chaos on July 23, a new collection of creature-based games that places Sidekicks at the center of different community-made experiences.

Epic recently expanded Sidekicks into scriptable NPCs that can be used for monster battlers, creature-collection RPGs, farming games, and companion adventures.
Neither Epic Games nor Pocketpair has confirmed that a Palworld crossover or skin is currently being developed. However, Pocketpair’s response makes it clear that the studio remains open to bringing its Pals into Fortnite.
