Palworld players are thirsting over a new Pal that’s releasing with the game’s full launch, and it’s all thanks to one viral video.

During Summer Game Fest, Palworld devs revealed that their viral creature-collecting game would be leaving early access alongside the game’s 1.0 launch on July 10.

Since then, Pocketpair has been teasing new monsters that fans will be able to get their hands on when the new update drops. However, there’s one Pal that has quickly caught the community’s eyes, and it’s not because of its rarity.

Palworld fans have found their new favorite Pal

Creature-collecting games aren’t exactly strangers to unique monster designs that have left players questioning their life choices. A quick Google Image search for Pokemon’s Lopunny and Gardevoir will tell you all you need to know, while Digimon doesn’t exactly shy away from its cast of collectible anime waifus.

Not to be outdone, Palworld is now entering the about-to-risk-it-all arena with the release of Sekhmet, a new humanoid cat that has already proven popular amongst Tamers.

On June 20, Pocketpair released a short 12-second clip of the Egyptian-styled Pal, showing her briefly mining with a pickaxe before taking part in a mini yoga/dance session with the caption: “It’s Sekhmet Saturday! Sekhmet can’t wait to meet you all on July 10 when Palworld 1.0 releases!”

The reveal quickly went viral, with fans comparing Sekhmet to Animal Crossing’s own Egyptian cat girl, Ankha, who proved incredibly popular thanks to a certain YouTube video that I can’t post here (my boss will kill me if I do).

However, it seems that Pocketpair is aware of this comparison, as they also uploaded their very own 29-second video of the feline showing off her moves at various locations around the world.

“This thing is going to get lewded worse, if not more than Ankha,” one user wrote. “They KNOW exactly what they are doing,” joked another fan, while one fan commented: “For my own mental health and wellbeing, I’m choosing to not read the other replies.”

It’s not just Palworld that has caught fans’ attention, as Stellar Blade: Blood Rain’s director went viral after revealing protagonist Evie will have even more “appealing outfits” than Eve.
