Maud Maron, a parent member of New York City’s Community Education Council in District 2 and a former Legal Aid Society attorney, is seeking to unseat Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg in 2025.

Maron, a mother of four public school kids, ran for Congress as a Democrat in 2022 but has since left the party, first changing her registration and then in 2023 re-enrolling as a Republican. Democrat Bragg was last elected in 2021, and his seat is up for reelection in 2025.

Maron has vowed to repeal Bragg’s "Day One memo" which declared that he would not prosecute resisting arrest charges and would downgrade major felonies like robbery to misdemeanors, the New York Post reported. She said additionally that she would create a special unit to assist the New York City Police Department with homelessness and to remove violent emotionally disturbed people from the streets of the city. She said she would also set up a special DA’s unit for the New York City Housing Authority and utilize all available mental health resources including laws to detain and stabilize individuals who are a danger to themselves and others.

Thank you very much and God bless you.

The problem is that the national GOP leadership will not get behind these candidates and put money into their campaigns to help get their name out there.

If Maron has a large and loud campaign targeting voters whose children are in failing school systems and those who are victims of crime etc, she might have a chance at winning. But, that takes lots and lots of money.

Of course, then you also have election fraud. If the voters get tired enough of the Democrat's policies they may themselves stop the election fraud at the precinct level.
