Paris Hilton has revealed her "heartbreak" after watching her Malibu beachfront home burn down on live television amidst the devastating Palisades Fire sweeping through Southern California.

The 43-year-old media personality and entrepreneur shared her distress on social media after witnessing the destruction of her family's coastal residence on ABC 7 news coverage.

The property, which was "completely gone" and "burned to a crisp" according to sources, was not Hilton's primary residence, as she owns multiple properties in the Los Angeles area.

The reality star took to Instagram to express her anguish, sharing footage of the news broadcast showing the damage along the Pacific Coast Highway after the fire initially broke out on Tuesday.

The blaze has become the most destructive in Los Angeles County history, with firefighters still battling to contain the flames on Wednesday evening.

"Heartbroken beyond words. Sitting with my family, watching the news, and seeing our home in Malibu burn to the ground on live TV is something no one should ever have to experience," Hilton wrote in her emotional Instagram post.

The mother of two shared that the home held precious memories, particularly of her children's milestones.

"This home was where we built so many precious memories. It's where Phoenix took his first steps and where we dreamed of building a lifetime of memories with London," she continued.

Despite the devastating loss, Hilton expressed gratitude that her family remained safe.

She announced that her 11:11 Media Impact Team had begun contacting nonprofit organisations to support those affected by the fires.

"We're committed to offering help as soon as possible and making a meaningful difference for those who need it most," she pledged.

The socialite thanked firefighters and first responders, calling them "true heroes" whilst urging residents to follow evacuation orders.

The Palisades Fire has claimed five lives according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, as the blaze continues to ravage Southern California.

The fire remains at zero percent containment and has burned over 15,800 acres between the beach towns of Santa Monica and Malibu.

More than 70,000 residents have been forced to evacuate, with nearly 30,000 structures under threat from the flames.

Powerful Santa Ana winds have fuelled several fires across LA County since Tuesday, with conditions expected to remain critical through Thursday despite some easing of winds overnight.

Two other major blazes are also burning in the region - the Eaton Fire, which has consumed more than 10,600 acres near Pasadena, and the Hurst Fire in Sylmar that has burned at least 500 acres.

In total, more than 100,000 people have been ordered to evacuate across the affected areas.

Actor James Woods posted emotional footage of flames near his home, showing palm trees and bushes ablaze between houses.

Jamie Lee Curtis revealed her neighbourhood might be destroyed, whilst Mandy Moore spoke about shielding her children from the "immense sadness" of the situation.

The fires have significantly disrupted Hollywood's awards season, leading to the cancellation of the AFI Awards and delays to major premieres.

The Critics' Choice Awards, scheduled for Sunday, have been postponed due to the ongoing emergency.

Stars like Mark Hamill documented their evacuation experiences, with the actor noting he left Malibu "last minute" with "small fires on both sides of the road" as he approached the Pacific Coast Highway.
