Pat McAfee praised 'good human' Travis Kelce for donating $3.3million to charity and transforming a house in Kansas City into a living facility for young homeless people.

DailyMail.com reported last month that Kelce had joined forces with charity Foster Love to create a 6,5000-square foot property with six bedrooms, five bathrooms and various amenities like a game room and study area.

Reacting to the donation on Thursday, McAfee pridefully spoke about the generosity his friend had demonstrated.

'I love this type of stuff,' he began on his ESPN show. 'Obviously a lot of negative gets covered around the NFL and professional athletics... Obviously the conversation around Travis Kelce is that he is a GOAT at the tight end position, obviously very successful at football.

'But there are people that just naturally hate him because he's very popular, very famous. Especially now because he's dating the most popular and famous person in the world in Taylor Swift. So him giving back, making the world a better place, I think should be chatted about.

McAfee added that Kelce could have put the money towards another house or his family, but 'instead, wanted to give it back to society.

McAfee noted that Travis Kelce often receives negative attention because of his relationship with Taylor Swift

'And to that I say, atta' baby Trav.'

In announcing the donation, Foster Love said that the home would also include a spacious kitchen, with a garden, patio and fire pit outside.

'Travis is offering housing, mentorship, and educational resources, giving these youth the tools they need to move toward independence and break the cycle of homelessness,' the organization said.

'It’s inspiring to see @killatrav use his platform to make a real difference for vulnerable youth.'

Kelce also does charity work through his 87 & Running foundation - founded in 2015 -which aims to work with underserved youth with support through resources and mentorship.

Speaking in December on his New Heights podcast, Kelce said of his foundation: 'I love getting out here in the Kansas City community, man. I really do.

'They show up for each other so much, and they do it with so much pride. And that's the beauty of having that relationship with the community, is always to try and make a better world for the ones that support you on game day, man, or need that help and that support in the community.'

McAfee, who also congratulated Travis' brother Jason and his wife Kylie on their newborn daughter, predicted that the Chiefs tight end would 'only gonna get better' after deciding to return for a 13th NFL season.

Kansas City coach Andy Reid told reporters this week that Kelce was 'training like crazy' after the team's disappointing finish to the season.

Following his team's 40-22 loss to the Eagles in Super Bowl LIX, Kelce weighed up retirement but ultimately decided to play on.

The 35-year-old finished with just four catches in the game for 39 yards and will look to return with a vengeance in 2025.
