Philippines braces for Super Typhoon Usagi, fifth major storm in a month

Super Typhoon Usagi made landfall in the Philippines on Thursday as authorities ordered evacuations in many of the country’s northeastern towns.

Usagi is the fifth typhoon in a month to hit the archipelago nation. More than 24,000 people in Cagayan have been forced to flee amid the series of storms, according to government data.
