Piddington resident launches scathing attack against Andy Burnham over plans to house migrants in village

Local resident of Piddington Jamie Perkin launches a scathing attack against Andy Burnham, as the government plans to go ahead with housing 1,250 migrants in his village in Oxfordshire.

Speaking to GB News, Mr Perkin said: "I think we'd all be willing to do a bit more than perhaps everyone is doing at the moment if the Government played their part.

"This isn't a case now of left wing, right wing or rich or poor or even in Andy Burnham's case, which I feel he's making it, north against south. I feel that this is what we're being given here.

"It's just a case of right and wrong, and what he's trying to put on our doorstep is quite simply wrong. There's nothing else that I can say about the situation, apart from everything that we've been given so far is wrong.

"It's the wrong place. It's on a main road. To listen to his interview yesterday, I was lost for words."
