Pokemon is giving runners a new Pikachu promo card for completing its Pokemon RUN 30 anniversary event, but fans at the Singapore stop will first need to cover 4km, or roughly 2.5 miles.
Pokemon RUN 30 is a series of noncompetitive fun runs being held across seven Asian regions for the franchise’s 30th anniversary. Participants can walk, jog, or run through an interactive course where they choose a first partner Pokemon, tackle Gym-themed obstacles, collect stickers, and help their partner evolve.
The Singapore event will take place at Stadium Roar at The Kallang on November 7 and 8, with start times running from 7 AM until 11:30 AM. Normal entry costs SGD 138 (~$108 USD), while late registration rises to SGD 158 (~$124 USD).
Every verified finisher gets one card
Pokemon announced the new reward on September 2, confirming that each verified participant can collect one Pokemon RUN Pikachu promo card after completing their course.
The revealed 60 HP Lightning-type card is numbered 216/M-P and features Pikachu wearing a red running cap while racing through a tropical landscape. It also carries a Pokemon RUN stamp over the artwork.
The card cannot be transferred or exchanged for money or another item. Pokemon also warns that it may be distributed at other events in the future, meaning the anniversary run may not remain the only way to obtain it.
Singapore runners will receive considerably more than the card. Each Runner’s Kit includes a Pokemon RUN 30 T-shirt, drawstring bag, Poke Ball armband, Pokedex Search Sheet, one Pokemon TCG booster pack, and a Grass, Fire, or Water-themed race bib.
The chosen bib determines whether the participant receives a Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle lenticular card. A Pikachu shoulder plush is only included with certain ticket purchases, although the event store lists it as a SGD 22 add-on.
Completing activities along the route also unlocks a Pokemon RUN 30 Gym Badge, stickers, a lenticular card display sheet, the first and second evolution cards for the runner’s chosen partner, and a Poke Ball-themed finisher medal.

Course lengths and prices vary between regions. The Philippines has a 5km course, Taiwan offers 3km and 6km options, and Hong Kong’s event is only 2km.
Pokemon GO players can also access a location-based in-game event at each stop. Trainers inside the event area will encounter Pikachu and all 27 starter Pokemon from Bulbasaur through Quaxly more frequently, while Incense can also attract Unown N, R, and U.
Bonuses include doubled Incense duration, 10 times the usual XP from spinning new PokeStops, doubled PokeStop XP, and halved Egg hatch distance. Two free Timed Research lines will offer XP, Stardust, Poke Balls, an Incense, a Premium Battle Pass, and encounters with Pikachu and a random starter Pokemon.
Pikachu promotions have attracted scalpers before, with collectors previously being left empty-handed during the Grey Felt Hat card promotion. Demand could be especially high during Pokemon’s anniversary year, which also includes an entirely foil TCG expansion containing 30 different Pikachu cards.
