Might and Mastery‘s season’s first Research Day has been announced in Pokemon Go, and it will feature several bear lookalike creatures along with other adorable fuzzy friends.

Niantic has finally revealed details of the last missing event for this month in Pokemon Go, and it is a Research Day focused on creatures that look like adorable teddy bears, like Cubchoo, Stufful, Pancham, and more.

The Fuzzy Buddy Research Day will include increased Shiny odds for the featured Pokemon, as well as special bonuses players can enjoy, and so much more fun.

Fuzzy Buddy Research Day: Date & time

The Fuzzy Buddy Research Day will take place on March 29, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM local time.

This means trainers will have very little time to catch all the featured Pokemon and hunt after their Shiny variations.

Event-themed Field Research tasks will award encounters with the following Pokemon:

Pokemon marked with an (*) can appear as Shiny.

Wild encounters

These are the creatures that will spawn more often in the wild during the Research Day:

Paid Timed Research

Trainers looking for more content during the Fuzzy Buddy Research Day can access an event-exclusive Timed Research for US$ 2.00 (or the equivalent pricing tier in your local currency).

Completing the tasks will get them more encounters – of their choice – with the featured Pokemon. This means that after completing the first Timed Research, players will be able to select another from the following list for a second Timed Research opportunity.

  • Teddiursa*
  • Cubchoo*
  • Pancham*
  • Stufful*

The Pokemon that appear as a reward for this Timed Research have the same odds of appearing as Shiny as those that can be found through the Field Research.

Keep in mind that, like every other Timed Research, it expires. The tasks must be completed – and the rewards must be claimed – before Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 5:00 PM local time.

Moreover, players can gift this ticket to their friends. However, they must have achieved a Friendship level of Great Friends or higher to be able to do so.

Pokemon Go City Safari

This year’s Pokemon Go City Safari event will kick off on the very same day in four different cities: Singapore (Singapore), Mumbai (India), Milan (Italy), and Santiago (Chile).

But worry not, as Niantic has confirmed that trainers participating in the City Safari won’t miss out on the Fuzzy Buddy Research Day.

That’s everything you need to know about the Fuzzy Buddy Research Day in Pokemon Go. Don’t forget to check the other events like the Spotlight Hour schedule and all of the Raid Bosses and Shadow Raid bosses available.
