Pokemon Krispy Kreme doughnuts leak ahead of grocery store launch

Krispy Kreme appears to be preparing a new Pokemon doughnut collection, and this time, the treats could be coming to grocery stores.

Food insider Snackolator shared an early photo of a six-count box bearing the Krispy Kreme and Pokemon logos alongside the tagline: “Gotta eat ’em all!”

The packaging offers a first look at four themed doughnuts featuring Pikachu, Charmander, Jigglypuff, and a Poke Ball. Two Original Glazed doughnuts appear to round out the assortment.

Although the finished packaging suggests the collaboration is approaching, Krispy Kreme has not officially announced the collection or revealed its flavors, price, participating retailers, or release date.

Snackolator claimed the doughnuts are “coming soon,” but cautioned that they could arrive as early as this week or take a little longer to reach stores. It is also unclear whether Krispy Kreme shops will receive a larger collection beyond the four designs included in the grocery box.

This isn’t the first time Krispy Kreme has teamed up with Pokemon, but previous releases have largely left American fans watching from afar.

A 2024 collection featuring Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Psyduck, Ditto, and Diglett was exclusive to South Korea. Krispy Kreme also released Pikachu, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Poke Ball doughnuts in Australia for Pokemon’s 25th anniversary in 2021.

If the newly leaked box is intended for US retailers, it could finally give American fans the opportunity to catch the collaboration themselves.

The apparent release also comes during Pokemon’s yearlong 30th-anniversary celebration, though neither company has confirmed that the doughnuts are connected to the milestone.
