Pokemon’s adorable Ditto cake is almost too cute to eat

Pokemon is getting a sweet-themed collab, allowing fans to indulge in a cute Ditto cake and other mini desserts inspired by fan-favorite creatures.

From entire train stations kitted out in the morphing monster’s signature pink colors to squishy stress relief toys, Ditto has been the star of the show this year (sorry, Pikachu).

While the above are all adorable in their own right, a Japan-based cake shop is going through its Delicious in Dungeon anime arc and releasing a whole line-up of Pokemon-themed cakes.

So, if you’ve ever wondered what Ditto would taste like when baked into a dessert, we now have an answer to this all-important question.

Ditto gets cute cake collab

Pokemon fans in Japan will soon be able to pick up a dessert inspired by one of the franchise’s most lovable shapeshifters, as Ginza Cozy Corner is releasing a glossy Ditto cake alongside a collection of themed sweet treats.

Launching on July 31, the limited-time lineup is based on Pokopia and features a single-serving delicious Ditto cake designed to resemble the smiling Pokemon.

The blueberry yogurt-flavored dessert is covered in a shiny glaze and includes a blueberry-flavored sponge layered with blueberry jam and yogurt-flavored cream.

Meanwhile, the cute creature’s cake also features Pokopia’s pale Peakychu and a regular Pikachu thrown in for good measure.

While the Ditto cake is the standout item, Ginza Cozy Corner is also releasing a nine-piece Petit Cake Collection inspired by characters from the relaxing spinoff game. So, what’s in the box, I hear you cry?

Well, the standouts are the blueberry cream Ditto tart, a Squirtle cake with orange whipped cream and soda glaze, a Bulbasaur cake with pistachio whipped cream, a Pikachu banana roll cake, and a Ditto larping as a Lapras cake that comes on a bed of soda-flavored jelly.

Alongside the fresh cakes, the bakery is releasing three baked gift sets. These include an Eevee Friends Box with surprise artwork hidden inside the packaging, a Party Box with interactive moving parts that reveal hidden Pokemon, and a collectible Pikachu tin filled with cookies, financiers, and madeleines.

The Ditto cake will cost ¥777 (around $4.74), while the nine-piece Petit Cake Collection is priced at ¥3,564 (around $21.76). Both sweet treats will be available from July 31 until around August 26, so if you happen to be in Japan this summer, then you could cool off with some delightful Ditto desserts.
