Penn State police have closed the investigation into Jason Kelce's phone-smashing incident, clearing the now-ESPN analyst of any formal punishment for the act.

Last month, Kelce was approached by a college-aged male, who called his brother Travis Kelce a 'f*****' for dating Taylor Swift

As fans lined up for selfies and fist bumps, an unidentifiable male voice can be heard shouting: 'Hey Kelce! How does it feel your brother is a f***** for dating Taylor Swift?'

Kelce continues walking momentarily after the homophobic slur before turning around, grabbing the fan's phone and proceeding to furiously slam it down into the ground before picking it up and walking away.

But, as he continued to walk off, the fan chased Kelce and said 'give me my phone' to which Kelce replied: 'Who's the f***** now?'

Now, Kelce can officially leave the confrontation in his past, per TMZ.

On November 2, Jason Kelce smashed a phone of a Penn State fan after the male used a slur

Kelce later apologized for the incident on 'Monday Night Football' after the footage went viral

'The individual in the video footage circulating on social media has not been identified, and no one has come forward to University Police with a related complaint about damage to personal property,' the Penn State statement read.

Despite being instantly praised on social-media for his actions, Kelce later apologized to start the November 4 episode of 'Monday Night Football', two days after the incident occurred.

'Everybody has seen what happened,' Kelce, dressed in a gray suit for his TV appearance, said in the opening minutes of the show. 'I'm not happy with anything that took place, not proud of it. A heated moment to greet hate with hate and I don't think that's a productive thing, I really don't. I don't think it's the right way to go about things.

'In that moment I fell down to a level I shouldn't have. The bottom line is I try to live my life by the golden rule, I've always been taught to treat people with common decency and I'm going to try and keep doing that moving forward. Even though I fell short this week.'

Kelce's rise in popularity has coincided with Travis' relationship with Swift, which publicly started last September.

Since then, the interest in all-things Kelce has exploded, with Jason being one of the main beneficiaries, with the tight-knit nature of his family on display.

A source close to the Swift and the younger Kelce told DailyMail.com at the time: 'Taylor and Travis were both really shocked by this considering Jason is one of the nicest guys in the world.

'It really became clear how much he loves and respects Taylor. Travis means the world to him.

'The use of the word f****t is not okay with him nor anyone. This fan crossed the line. Jason will never stand for anyone insulting his family and he views Taylor as family now.'
