I remember Reich back in the early Clinton days. I recall I had this impression (seemingly shared by many then) he was wrong and in the wrong camp but brilliant and having a genius like mind.

So I was a bit surprised when I watched this video he created. He comes across to me as a very ordinary intelligence. He also makes a lot of specious claims, devoid of any depth or argument and especially evidence of proofs.

One example is his claim that Regan moved the country “far right” by backing extreme right politicians or trying to reduce the size of government. Yet he gives little or basically no argument why making our government smaller and less encumbered with red tape is an extreme right wing action.

Amazingly he even attacks his old boss Bill Clinton’s tough on crime polices…? What? How is being lawful and enforcing laws being “right”? Again no sources, no logical arguments..just these generalities and broad claims.

The same with his claims on the left. He says the left “has not changed at all”… WTH..Not changed at all? Is this guy suffering from dementia? Critical race theory, gender neutrality theory, diversity equity and inclusion (dei) , free health care, reparations, open borders, packing the SCOTUS, eliminating the delegate system..and I could go on. I don’t remember ANY of this being mainstream in the democratic party in 1982 yet he makes the bizarre claim the democratic party hasn’t moved at all. 🤔

The little leftist has sure shattered the intellectual illusion the media had built up in my mind.

Reich, in his old age is good for only one thing. Midget bowling.

Remember that Hillary Clinton was also the smartest woman in the world.

During the Biden/Trump debate, I saw him and some lady together YouTubing it and watched about five minutes of it before I had to turn it off. He had a little paddle to hold up with “liar” written on it whenever he felt like Trump lied. It was very gimmicky and just.. I don’t know... performative?

Well let’s be fair, opening the borders and free health care were leftist ideals in the 60s, FDR was trying to pack SCOTUS in the 30s, and the left has always been racist. But yes all the social LGBT crap is new.

ideology that Leftists paint as an ideology of the Right.

I wish the right would act extreme. It would be a nice change of direction. It is impossible to take clowns like this seriously when they say such stupidly false things. With the exception of Trump, who is hardly extreme right, the republicans have primarily become the party of Cheney, Romney McCain, McConnell, Graham. The list goes on and on. When the right is headed by leftists in disguise not even trying to hide their rejection of what they are supposed to stand for, leftist criticism of right extremism is a joke.
