The airplane was on a perfect and routine line of approach to the airport. The helicopter was going straight at the airplane for an extended period of time. It is a CLEAR NIGHT, the lights on the plane were blazing, why didn’t the helicopter go up or down, or turn. Why didn’t the control tower tell the helicopter what to do instead of asking if they saw the plane. This is a bad situation that looks like it should have been prevented. NOT GOOD!!!

Just heard about this a few seconds ago so I am uninformed but am worried somehow the blame will end up on Trump and/or Hegseth in media.

I remember when I was working for the Marine Corps Reserve, there was an article in their flight magazine (IIRC it was a joint Navy / MC flight magazine) about a helicopter pilot falling victim to vertigo (as I recall), and after hovering ever so briefly, flew the chopper right into the water.

It’s been way over 40 years ago that I read that magazine article. Perhaps this pilot was disoriented? Dunno.

Horrible. I just watched that dashcam video.

Already has, but they were not in the helicopter setting the frequencies. Not a d&%$ thing any administration could have done in this case.

The legacy media needs to be ignored.

I saw the video of crash that’s being widely circulated
How did the Blackhawk not see that plane, flashing lights etc!!?
It looks like it t-bones the plane at high rate of speed, maybe too late to pull up or down to avoid?
It does look suspicious
