An Anglesey pub has stood firm in defence of its policy prohibiting dogs from entering the premises after facing what it described as hostile criticism from certain customers on social media.
The Bull Inn, situated in the village of Pentraeth, implemented a ban on dogs inside the establishment and has since found itself at the centre of an online dispute.
While numerous patrons have expressed their approval of the measure, the venue has also attracted negative commentary, with management characterising some of the feedback as particularly harsh.
The popular local establishment took to social media to publicly address the criticism while reaffirming its dedication to providing a hygienic and inclusive atmosphere for all visitors.
On Facebook, the pub's management: "So, we've had really positive feedback on our 'No dogs inside' policy, but also a couple of cruel, nasty ones!!
"One man asks, do we have a 'screaming, hyperactive brat-free zone also then?'
"COME ON!!!! All kids are different, all situations are different but we cater for them all
"We pride ourselves on having a beautiful, clean, family-friendly pub and we thank you all for your continued support."

Despite the backlash, the pub has received considerable backing from customers who say they understand the reasoning behind the restriction.
One supporter commented: "I adore my dog BUT she's not allowed to sit at my table while I'm eating!"
Another patron, who identified themselves as a dog enthusiast, wrote: "I 100 per cent agree with this, I am a big dog lover, but there's nothing worse than being in a restaurant that is full of dogs."
"I'm sure the FEW that refuse to support you in your decision will be outnumbered by the people that will support and probably bring new customers in from your decision.

One disgruntled patron stated bluntly: "Don't count on my custom then."
However, this stance was swiftly countered by another customer who expressed firm support for the ban, declaring: "They can certainly count on mine.
"Dogs should NOT be within 50 feet of my food."
The Bull Inn has maintained its position throughout the dispute, continuing to prioritise what it considers a clean dining environment for families and other guests.

Fellow pub The Panton Arms came to their support, saying: "Good for you! We allow clean well-behaved dogs, totally understand why you don't.
"I think it gives people a good choice, no need for people to get upset about it."
Another social media commentator said: "Love my dogs but to have them in a restaurant/pub where food has been served is unhygienic.
"But a nice walk and an outside area with a pint or glass of wine and the dog is lush, and The Bull has this."
