Queen Mary of Denmark kicked off her trip to Brazil with a visit to Manaus - which is known as one of the most dangerous cities in the world.
The royal, 52, was effortlessly elegant as she visited the Amazon Museum MUSA at the Adolpho Ducke forest reserve - and later visited the Teatro Amazonas.
She is in the country for a four day official visit.
It comes as last week she joined her husband King Frederik and his aunt Princess Benedikte at the state opening of parliament.
The Danish queen, who shares four children with King Frederik, looked typically stylish in a coat dress and matching hat with a brooch.

Queen Mary's coat dress was belted at the waist and fell just below the knee.
The Australian-born royal wore her long brown hair in a bow-dry beneath her hat and carried a bouquet of pink flowers.
The three Danish royals were seated apart in the upper gallery, although Mary and Frederik were seen leaning across the empty seat between them to talk.
King Frederik wore a three-piece navy suit complete with a pale blue shirt and a bronze tie.
His aunt, Princess Benedikte, looked equally smart in a cream, tweed skirt suit, which she paired with a sky-blue hat and matching scarf.
She wore a pair of diamond earrings and carried a quilted Chanel handbag.
