Midas is running a racist ad called "No More BS". See the image here. If you've seen enough recent TV ads, you should know which group is which.

If you want to *do* something about this, take out a few minutes and call or email your local Midas shop. Let them know that you saw their ad and you won't be doing business with them anymore.

Obviously, local outlets don't have any control over the ads Midas HQ runs, but enough of them will communicate back to Midas HQ that they might get the message.

Because only native-born Anglo-white guys work in service stations! (In case you live in an almost-completely white area, Middle Easterners, South Asians and to a lesser extent Hispanics dominate auto repair in much of the country.)

Nothing wrong with that ad. Old-school shop with bad service is talking down to the young people like they don’t know anything. Midas promises to not do that and treat everybody as a valued customer.

What is wrong with the ad?

The victimized customers were all minority or women. The bad guys in the ad were all white dudes... but the good guys were all minorities.

As a singular example, it could be chalked up to chance or a reasonable level of inclusion, but it’s almost universal in advertising lately.
