The New York Review of Books published an unnerving interview earlier in June about what the Democratic Party could look like if they retake both chambers of Congress in the upcoming midterms. Although the interviewee was not an American — in fact, he was an Irish novelist, of all people — it is easy to imagine his ideas gaining traction on the intellectual left, particularly the Resistance Left, the core, activist base of the Democratic Party.
