GTA 6 fans finally have confirmation for one of the game’s actors as Rockstar continues to stay mum about the long-awaited title.
Grand Theft Auto VI is finally set to release on November 19, 2026 and aside from two trailers, screenshots, and some leaked details confirmed to be legitimate from Rockstar, not much is known about the return to Vice City.
Despite theories and speculation, the actors for the love interest protagonists Jason and Lucia are still unknown, as is much of the casting for characters seen in the first two trailers.
However, on June 11, fans finally learned that a familiar voice from Red Dead Redemption 2 will be making his way to GTA 6.
Red Dead Redemption 2’s Pearson actor, Jim Santangeli says he will have a small role in GTA 6.
This wouldn’t be surprising since Rockstar is known for rehiring actors they worked with before (Lucia’s actor voiced a character in GTA Online).

RDR2 Pearson actor confirmed for GTA 6
Jim Santangeli, the voice of cook Simon Pearson in Red Dead Redemption 2, was speaking on TikTok when a fan asked him about being in GTA 6.
Footage from the broadcast didn’t capture the first part of the discussion, but it did showcase one fan named Zane asking, “wait, so you’re gonna do a small thing in GTA 6? That’s cool.”
Santangeli responded, saying, “Yeah, Zane. Little small bit,” before noting how he had only played Grand Theft Auto “Miami,” seemingly referring to Vice City.
Video of the interaction was posted to Reddit by user ‘AdviceWarm2500’ who explained the discussion prior to when they started recording.
“So I joined his TikTok live randomly, and as I joined, he was talking his GTA VI small role he’s worked on. Interested, I asked a message for him to clarify it and this is what I got back,” they explained.
“I wasn’t able to clip the previous footage, but what I recall was. ‘I’ve done some cool stuff in GTA VI, but small.’”
It’s not clear exactly what role this could be, but a good possibility is a random NPC players will encounter at some point in the game.
Meanwhile, marketing for GTA 6 is set to begin in the summer, with pre-orders planned to go live along with a price reveal.
