England beat Malawi 62-36 in their Nations Cup opener in Nottingham.
Paige Reed, 27, opened the scoring and was named player of the match on her international debut.
The Roses, ranked fourth in the world, built up a 31-24 lead at half-time against their seventh-ranked opponents.
And they built on that advantage despite goal shooter Liv Tchine hobbling off with an injury in the third quarter. She was standing at the sidelines towards the end of the game.
Earlier, South Africa ran out 75-40 winners against Uganda.
England play South Africa on Sunday after Malawi face Uganda at Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena.
The final group fixtures take place at the Copper Box Area in London on Saturday 8 February, before the third place play-off and final the following day.
