The NBC News story about the attempted murder of a Jewish man as he entered a synagogue in Chicago opens with falsehood:
A Chicago man has been charged with 14 felonies on suspicion of shooting a Jewish man who was on his way to a synagogue.
But suspect Sidi Mohamed Abdallahi isn’t a “Chicago man.” He’s a Mauritanian man. He is also an illegal alien caught at the southwest border, and whom authorities released on the longstanding orders of President Joe Biden.
So yet again, one of the people Democrats “care about most” is charged with yet another heinous crime.
The Attempted Murder
Police alleged that Abdallahi ambushed a 39-year-old Jewish man as he entered a synagogue at about 9:30 a.m.
Abdallahi shot the man in the shoulder “without saying a word,” police chief Larry Snelling told reporters. Passersby came to the victim’s aid. The victim was shot more than once.
“Shortly before 10 a.m., after police arrived at the scene, the shooter emerged from an alley and opened fire on officers, CPD’s deputy chief of detectives, Kevin Bruno, told reporters over the weekend,” the Chicago Tribune reported:
For the next two and a half minutes, Bruno said, the man popped out of various locations, exchanging shots with officers. No officers were injured, but a Chicago Fire Department ambulance was struck by the gunfire.
Now, the Mauritanian miscreant faces 14 felony charges: six attempted murder, seven aggravated discharge of a firearm, and one aggravated battery.
But Abdallahi, again, isn’t just a Mauritanian.
“Per four law enforcement sources … the suspect charged w/ shooting a Jewish man as he walked to a Chicago synagogue on Saturday is a Mauritanian illegal alien who was caught & released in Border Patrol’s San Diego, CA sector in March 2023,” Fox News’s Bill Melugin disclosed on X.
And in even more frightening news — unless you’re a politician with a tight cordon of security guards who carry firearms — “sanctuary policies in Cook County, IL prohibit local authorities from cooperating with ICE on a detainer request on Abdallahi.”
Such a request asks local authorities to hold an illegal alien until Immigration and Customs Enforcement can arrest him.
Sanctuary County
The county, the law says, is a “fair and equal county for immigrants.” So “ICE detainers are routinely imposed on individuals without any criminal convictions or whose cases are dismissed, but the federal government only reimburses part of the costs associated with ICE detainers, if there is a written agreement with the state or local subdivision of a state.”
It’s just too expensive to hold illegal aliens for ICE: $43,000 a day.
That claim doesn’t pass the smell test, but anyway, the county sheriff must refuse detainer requests “unless there is a written agreement with the federal government by which all costs incurred by Cook County in complying with the ICE detainer shall be reimbursed,” the law says.
As well, ICE must have a “criminal warrant” for the sheriff to honor a detainer. And the county must “have a legitimate law enforcement purpose that is not related to the enforcement of immigration laws. Otherwise, ICE is denied access to illegals and not permitted to use county facilities “for investigative interviews or other purposes.
“County personnel shall not expend their time responding to ICE inquiries or communicating with ICE regarding individuals’ incarceration status or release dates while on duty,” the law says.
One would think that stopping Biden’s illegal-alien pals from shooting Jews on their way to synagogue is a “legitimate law enforcement purpose.” But alas and alack, Cook County thinks not.
Thus do illegal sanctuary city policies — harboring illegal aliens is a federal crime — magnify the danger of the illegal Biden-Harris-sponsored “migrant” invasion at the border.
Then again, as a top Democrat said, illegal aliens are the “people we care about most.”

So we can add “Chicago Man” Abdallahi to the very long list of illegal aliens and Biden “migrants” who rob, rape, and kill the first chance they get.
As ICE revealed to U.S. Representative Tony Gonzales of Texas just last month, the Biden-Harris administration has released more than 660,000 criminals at the southwest border. More than 13,000 of them were murderers.
ICE told Gonzales that 425,431 criminals and 222,141 criminal suspects are running wild across the nation.
They include who knows how many members of Venezuela’s notorious Tren De Aragua gang, which is operating in Texas, Colorado, Chicago, and New York City.
Here are just three of their victims:
• Laken Riley, murdered in Athens, Georgia. Police allege that “Georgia man” Jose Ibarra, a Venezuelan Biden “migrant,” committed the crime.
• Jocelyn Nungaray, murdered in Houston, Texas. Police allege that “Texas men” Franklin Jose Pena Ramos and Johan Jose Rangel, Venezuelan Biden “migrants,” committed that crime.
• Kayla Hamilton, murdered in Harford County, Maryland. “Harford County man” Walter Martinez, a Salvadoran Biden “migrant,” pleaded guilty after he was permitted to enroll in high school.
