Fars News reported an explosion in the capital of Iran, Tehran, early on Saturday morning.
There were also reports of explosions at the Khomeini airport.
Earlier in the day, a fire was reported at an Iranian Defence Ministry site in Tehran, although the Tehran Fire Department denied any connection.
