Capcom has unveiled Resident Evil Veronica, a remake of the survival horror game that first launched as Resident Evil Code: Veronica in 2000.

Originally released for the Dreamcast 26 years ago, Resident Evil Code: Veronica is one of the most beloved entries in the series and has long been considered a missing piece in Capcom’s remake lineup.

While it wasn’t given a numbered title, Code: Veronica follows on from Resident Evil 2 after Claire Redfield’s escape from Raccoon City. As she continues her search for her brother Chris, she uncovers the secrets of the Ashford family and Umbrella’s ongoing experiments.

Resident Evil Veronica was unveiled during Summer Game Fest 2026, with the trailer showing Claire Redfield in a Paris apartment. It will be released in 2027 for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch 2
