Capcom has announced that it’s creating a life-size Leon Kennedy statue from Resident Evil, and fans are already absolutely losing their minds.

If there’s one thing the Resident Evil community loves to do, it’s thirst over Leon Kennedy. From his first appearance as a fresh-faced police officer in Resi 2 to his more grizzled portrayal in 2026’s Requiem, fans have been obsessed with the series’ iconic protagonist.

Female devs who worked on Requiem are even credited with making sure he was a heartthrob, and it’s safe to say they achieved their mission.

Now, the news that a life-sized Leon statue is being created has sent fans into a frenzy once more.

As part of the Resident Evil 30th Anniversary exhibit in Tokyo, starting on October 30, Capcom is working on the “production of a life-size 3D sculpture of Leon S. Kennedy,” which attendees will be able to see and take photos with as they walk around.

Once the news hit social media, Resi fans wasted no time in responding with unhinged comments.

You’re gonna need all the “do not touch” signs

“You’re gonna need all the ‘do not touch’ signs,” said one X user, while a second added: “I am going to do unspeakable things to that statue.”

“YOU’RE GONNA HAVE TO PRY MY HANDS OFF HIM,” said another.

Meanwhile, others joked (hopefully) about stealing the statue and putting it up in their houses.

“I’m about to pull off a heist that they’re going to write about in textbooks for decades to come,” said one post.

“I suddenly have a life sized Leon statue shaped pocket…” said another.

This kind of fervor surrounding Leon is nothing new, as we saw something similar when a swimwear statue went viral. In one interview, Nick Apostolides, who plays the character in Requiem, responded to the thirstiest comments about the character.
