Speaking at a press conference on Wednesday, Qalibaf said Iran has definitely put the True Promise III operation on the agenda in revenge for the Israeli attack that took the lives of four Iranian servicemen on October 26.
“This is what we have decided. However, the timing of action is also part of the operation, which will be carried out in due time,” the Parliament speaker said.
Asked about the ceasefire in Lebanon and Netanyahu’s comments that Israel will be focusing on Iran and its nuclear program after the truce deal with Hezbollah, Qalibaf said, “We welcome the ceasefire deal. Today, calm has been established in Lebanon and we hope that this calm would prevail in Gaza as well. But criminal Netanyahu’s argument that he will focus on Iran after this truce is merely an absurd comment.”
He also attributed the truce in Lebanon to the bravery, discernment and resistance of Hezbollah combatants, who he said did not allow the enemy to conquer an inch of Lebanon’s soil.
