“Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Angie Katsanevas and her husband of nearly three decades, Shawn Trujillo, have separated, Page Six has learned.
Multiple sources told us on Monday that the longtime couple — who wed in June 1999 and share 15-year-old daughter Elektra — are no longer together romantically.
Notably, Katsanevas — who co-founded Lunatic Fringe Salon with Trujillo the same year they tied the knot — did not post on Instagram to mark their 27th wedding anniversary last month.
On June 13, 2025, however, she gushed on the social media platform, “A Hair Affair🤍🤍🤍 #26YEARS. Seems like yesterday I booked an appointment for a blowdry with this dreamy guy I saw on the cover of a romance novel in the grocery store checkout. Long hair like Fabio, big muscles, and known to be lethal with scissors. The rest is HAIRstory❤️.”
Reps for the hairdressers as well as Bravo did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
It’s unclear whether the pair’s marital woes will play out on Season 7, which began filming in late February and wrapped production in late May.
New seasons of “RHOSLC” typically premiere in the fall, with the reunion episodes shooting toward the end of the season and airing immediately after.
During Season 4 — her first in a full-time role — Katsanevas was faced with rumors that Trujillo was cheating on her with several men.
Katsanevas, 52, was shocked and hurt that her co-stars would perpetuate the chatter, which she viewed as an attack on her relationship. Trujillo, who denied the behavior, was also upset by the speculation.
“For me, it’s not a gay-straight thing; it’s an infidelity thing,” the 55-year-old later told Andy Cohen on an October 2023 episode of “Watch What Happens Live.”
“We love our gay community. We’ve been embedded in it for 30 years now just based on what we do for our business,” he added. “But I’m here to support Angie, and I’ll take the hits.”
Later that season, Katsanevas admitted that she and Trujillo were having a difficult time prioritizing their marriage because so much of their time was spent on raising their daughter and running their business.
When they appeared on “Wife Swap: The Real Housewives Edition” in October 2025, Trujillo accused Katsanevas of “micromanagement” and not being able to “chill out” so they could “sit together” and “hang out as a family.”
Katsanevas quipped in response, “Am I OCD, or am I just a person that has a gift of making things perfect?”
More recently, eagle-eyed internet users noticed Trujillo was following several divorce-related Instagram accounts, but he insisted the activity had “nothing to do with Angie.”
Trujillo claimed to Reality Shrine in January, “I simply have someone close to me going through a rough time. This person sends me pages with thoughts and info on what they are going through. It’s as simple as that — nothing more, nothing less.”
Days later, Katsanevas told Cohen on “WWHL” that they were “still married.”
