Roblox has revealed that creators made approximately $1.7 billion over the past year, with those behind its biggest games like Grow a Garden and Steal a Brainrot earning tens of millions of dollars each.

The figures were shared at the Roblox Developers Conference, where the company revealed that creator earnings through its Developer Exchange program have increased by around 50% year over year.

Roblox’s biggest creators are making millions

DevEx allows eligible Roblox creators to exchange Robux earned through their games and other content for real money. Since launching in 2013, Roblox says creators have now earned more than $5 billion through the program.

Figures presented by Roblox at RDC show the platform’s top 10 creators earned an average of $65.7 million over the 12 months ending June 30, 2026.

The top 100 averaged $10.8 million over the same period, while the top 1,000 averaged $1.4 million.

Despite the huge numbers at the top, however, they aren’t representative of what most people making money through Roblox earn.

More than 42,000 creators participate in DevEx, but the median creator received approximately $1,500 during the 12 months ending June 30, 2026.

While Roblox’s creator announcements at RDC 2026 went off without a hitch, a YouTuber had to be removed from the event during Roblox CEO David Baszucki’s keynote after they ran onto the stage wearing a “kids deserve better” shirt.

The platform has faced repeated scrutiny over child safety concerns, prompting various investigations.
