There’s been a cultural understanding for over a decade that the LGBTQ lobby captured the month of June. However, there’s been a massive shift in Americans’ appetite for all things “Pride,” and it’s becoming mainstream.
As soon as June 1 hits, Americans are typically bombarded by their favorite brands and sports teams planting the Pride flag in their bios and posts. But it seems like this has started to slow down a bit. As one X account’s viral post states, “MLB is looking significantly less gay than last year.”
The user listed each team as either an ally or homophobic based on whether they had made an X post declaring their fidelity to the sexual ideology. As a lifelong Texas Rangers fan, it’s always a good feeling to see them have their own category after they famously refused to mention Pride Month in 2025, and that seems to have carried over into 2026. This is similar to the NFL, where, as of Tuesday, 9 teams opted out of posting about Pride Month, including my favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys.

Not only is this a breath of fresh air after decades of debauchery being shoved down our throats, but the likely reason for this change of heart is due to Americans’ feelings toward the movement.
A Gallup survey released Wednesday shows that Americans’ support for LGBTQ issues has declined since its peak in 2022.
About 71 percent of Americans supported same-sex marriage in 2022. By 2024, that support had declined 2 points to 69 percent, and in 2026 it dropped another 4 points to 65 percent. While a clear majority of Americans are still in favor of same-sex marriage, there is a clear pattern that their appetite for all things Pride is slowly dipping. The percentage of Americans who view gay or lesbian relations as morally acceptable has also declined, with 71 percent deeming same-sex relations as morally acceptable at its peak in 2022, according to Gallup. In 2026, that percentage dropped 7 points to 64 percent of Americans who hold the same view.
The most significant drop in support regarding LGBTQ issues is among Americans who were asked about the moral implications of transgender ideology. In 2021, 46 percent said it is morally acceptable to “change one’s gender,” and 51 percent found it morally wrong, according to Gallup. But in 2026, just 38 percent of Americans find this barbaric practice morally acceptable, and 57 percent find it morally wrong.
Which begs the question of why Washington D.C. Democratic Mayor Muriel Bowser declared Monday that her city is the “gayest city in the world.”
While speaking to the crowd, flanked by drag queens and other members of the LGBTQ community, Bowser proudly stated that the movement to make D.C. the 51st state and Pride are rooted in the same ideology: “Every person deserves to be seen, heard, and fully represented.”
“We are celebrating Pride month in the gayest city in the world!” she yelled to the crowd.

While it’s obvious that her statements are completely tone-deaf, what she doesn’t seem to understand is that a large part of the reason Americans are turning to more traditional views on same-sex marriage and transgender ideology is because of statements like the one she made Monday. There’s a fatigue of everything being “gay.” It’s taken over music, media, and sports. Families can’t turn their TVs on, listen to the radio, or go to a baseball game without being forced to listen to the LGBTQ agenda. Even gay and lesbian Americans have voiced concern over how crazy the movement has become, with many remarking how it started to gain so-called equality and morphed into a Frankenstein’s monster that requires every facet of our lives to be steeped in LGBTQ ideologies.
