Queen Mary of Denmark has been forced to cancel several public engagements this week after falling ill.
The 53-year-old royal was unable to attend an event with the Mary Foundation at the University of Copenhagen on Friday.
She also missed the Heart Association's awards ceremony at the Hotel d'Angleterre in Copenhagen on Wednesday.
The Royal House's Communications Department confirmed her absence to Danish publication BT.

"Her Majesty the Queen, like many others right now, has become ill, and therefore unfortunately cannot participate in the Heart Association's award ceremony," they stated.
No further details about the nature of Queen Mary's illness have been provided by the palace.
Despite her illness, Queen Mary expressed gratitude for the thoughtful gestures from well-wishers.

"Thank you for the thoughtfulness. What a lovely surprise to receive this bouquet and drawings, even though illness prevented me from participating in the Heart Association's event," she wrote.
The queen added: "I was looking forward to presenting the Heart Award with heart children Alma and Ellen and meeting some of the young people living with heart disease. Hopefully we can meet another time."
The twins had sent flowers and drawings to the royal after learning of her absence.
Queen Mary is expected to resume her public duties soon, with her next engagement scheduled for Monday.
She will attend a School Force visit with her Foundation, according to the palace.
The queen typically enjoys good health, making this week's cancellations unusual.
Her illness comes as the Danish royal household announced new travel plans for the queen and King Frederik.
The royal couple will undertake their first tour of the Faroe Islands from 11 to 13 June.
The royal couple will also embark on a late summer cruise aboard the Royal Yacht Dannebrog from 25 to 28 August.

This visit was originally planned for last year but was postponed due to strikes in the country.

The Faroe Islands is a self-governing archipelago between Iceland and Norway, and part of the Kingdom of Denmark.

This cruise will include visits to several Danish municipalities including Frederikshavn, Thisted, Læsø and Samsø.
