Russia and the US are 'on the brink of direct military conflict', with Biden to blame, Putin's foreign minister warns

The United States and Russia are very close to engaging in 'direct military conflict,' Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned in an interview published Friday in a Turkey daily, just days ahead of a US presidential election.
'Under the current president (Joe Biden), who has taken the downward spiral of Russophobia in the US to its logical conclusion, our countries are on the brink of direct military conflict,' he told the Hurriyet daily, without elaborating.
Asked about next week's US election pitting former Republican president Donald Trump against Democratic nominee Kamala Harris, Lavrov said the outcome would make little difference to Russia.
'We have no preference. When the Trump administration was in power, it adopted the highest number of anti-Russian sanctions compared to its predecessors,' he said.
-snip-
Lavrov's comments come just days after Putin staged a mock nuclear war, aunching scores of missiles capable of unleashing a 'massive' strike in a stark warning to the West.

Tell your Biden that he’ll never succeed in getting at the feet of The Putin’s children.

Ah, yes, Russophobia, e.i., any opposition to Russian imperialism. There was no conflict with Russia until it decided to invade Ukraine. Go home and we can be at peace again. Russia, it’s your play.

If Putin can just hold off till Trump takes office in January - he’ll find much less US aggression then.

Why did Russia invade Ukraine?
To: Responsibility2nd
If Trump wins, they’ll saddle him with a war.

You make a fair point. It’s not Russophobia to criticize Russia for starting a bloody shooting war.
On the other hand, it’s not NATO-phobia (if there is such a term) to criticize NATO for taking actions Russia saw as provocative.
There are no clean hands here. I think Trump 2.0 could sort this all out. I doubt that anyone else can.

Donald Trump Says Joe Biden’s Remarks Gave Russia the ‘Green Light’ on Ukraine
Trump told Fox host Sean Hannity: “Really what he said last night when he said, ‘They may go in, they will go in,’ and he talked about a minor incursion. I said, ‘I don’t believe he said that,’ because that’s like giving them, they use the term ‘green light.’ He was green-lighted.”
He added that the president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, “could not believe what he heard. He couldn’t believe what he heard, and I couldn’t believe what — it’s whether you are for strong stoppage or not, you’re really telling them ‘You might as well go in.’”
Zelensky tweeted on Thursday that “there are no minor incursions.”

What Kursk doink?
Clearly, it's Trump they fear, to the point of terror, because he's clever, unpredictable, and a great tactician.
The Putinsters are desperately trying to help Biden by pretending that they fear him and his mighty pudding-brain.

I’ve seen front line Ukraine guys with US flag patches on their uniforms. Is that fake or real? Uke accent anyway.

Putin is terrified of President Trump’s return to office.
