Sabrina Carpenter has reportedly filed a restraining order against a 'complete stranger' she claims has been repeatedly turning up to her front door uninvited - even returning after he was arrested.

In documents obtained by The Daily Mail, Carpenter described three alleged visits 31-year-old William Applegate made to her home and claimed he had been stalking her for at least a month by the time he first made contact.

Applegate is accused of trespassing the neighbor's property in order to overcome Carpenter's home security during his first visit before claiming he 'personally knew' the singer and was expected by her.

'It is clear to me that his approach was deliberate, calculated and aggressive, which is deeply alarming,' she said in the filing of how he allegedly gained entry to her front door on May 23.

'Applegate physically grabbed the lever of my front door and forcefully pushed down, actively trying to force his way inside my home without any invitation, permission, consent whatsoever. He then knocked on my door, after which he rang the doorbell.'

Applegate was 'physically removed' by a member of Carpenter's private security team but 'defiantly refused' to follow orders to leave the property.

'He then fabricated the outrageous and entirely false claim that he personally knew me and that I was expecting him. This is a complete lie,' she said.

Applegate allegedly insisted on remaining at her front door and 'physically resisted' Carpenter's security until he was 'ultimately arrested' by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Applegate then allegedly returned to Carpenter's residence less than 24 hours after his arrest.

'Shockingly, less than twenty-four (24) hours after his arrest, Applegate returned to my home on May 24, 2026,' she wrote.

Carpenter claimed she was informed that Applegate 'loitered in the immediate vicinity of my residence for approximately two (2) hours' in his car.

She claimed he sat in his reclined seat, 'watching and waiting', before driving his car closer to her driveway 'in a clear act of surveillance and harassment.'

'A private security guard assigned to my residence was forced to make direct contact with Applegate before Applegate would finally depart from in front of my property,' she said.

He allegedly returned to her residence less than 24 hours later but left when security stepped in.

Applegate allegedly returned again on May 25, a visit which sparked a response from police.

TMZ reports that Carpenter's legal team filed a petition for a restraining order against William Applegate, age 31, on Friday

Photos of a man standing at Carpenter's front door were also in the filing.

'William Applegate is a complete stranger to me. I have never met him or communicated with him in any way. I have no desire to meet him or communicate with him,' Carpenter said in her declaration.

Carpenter's request that she, her sister Sarah, and her sister's boyfriend George all receive a temporary restraining order against Applegate was granted.

A hearing to decide if the temporary restraining order will be made permanent has been scheduled for later this month, according to TMZ.

The Daily Mail has contacted representatives for Carpenter but have not yet heard back.
