'It was a huge trauma. Now, again. After that occasion, it was three years of running after them. Now that I managed to stabilize, they took my goods away again.'
The break-in is the latest incident to test Brazil's holiday spirits.
Last month, a condo manager intervening in a fight over the hanging of Christmas decorations attacked a tenant with a hammer in the city of Paranoá
One suspect used a bar to pry open the gate to a store before smashing its window
The violent outburst occurred after an elderly resident decided to decorate the building, despite the objections of some of tenants.
After a resident ripped down the ornaments adorning his door and hallway, the elderly tenant returned to replace the decorations, leading to an argument between her and the angry neighbor.
That's when the building's manager stepped in and decided to hang the decorations himself.
In surveillance video, the manage appeared to argue with the protesting tenant before charging at him with a hammer.
