Whoopi Goldberg's 69th birthday celebration on The View took an unexpected turn when her co-host Sara Haines walked off after the star made a risqué comment.
The EGOT winner was in the middle of promoting some of her favorite products on the daytime talk show, including a large wheel of cheese with her face on it.
Whoopi gave the cheese a kiss, while Sara, 47, told the audience: 'I always wanted my face on cheese.'
The Sister Act star — who recently shared she can't afford to retire from The View — replied, 'Yeah, I like to be eaten from time to time.'
The tongue-in-cheek remark prompted the shocked television host to jokingly walk off the set.

The audience erupted in laughter as Whoopi glanced around with a mixture of surprise and amusement.
Haines then returned back to the stage and gave Whoopi a hug.
'Nevermind!' Whoopi quipped, as she dismissed the joke with a wave of her hand.
The atmosphere continued to be lighthearted as Whoopi chuckled while further describing the cheese.
'This is a wheel of authentic Parmigiano Reggiano from Italy, and this has been aged for 24 months and it's a testament to Italian tradition and quality,' she shared.
'So if you'd like a chance to win a wheel just like this...' Whoopi went on, before Haines interjected with 'and eat Whoopi Goldberg!'
Whoopi — who elsewhere on the show claimed that a bakery refused to serve her over political views — laughed, replying, 'That's right! No – and eat yourself! Because you put your own face on it.'
It comes after Whoopi shared she's 'having a hard time' financially and can't afford to retire from The View.
'If I had all the money in the world, I would not be here, OK? So, I'm a working person, you know?,' she told the audience on the November 12 episode of the CBS talk show.

Goldberg's most recent salary is currently unknown, but it was reported to be in the $5 to $6 million range back in 2016.
'I appreciate that people are having a hard time. Me too. I work for a living,' Goldberg said, following a discussion about Donald Trump's second presidency and all the working class Americans who voted for him.
She explained: 'My kid has to feed her family. My great-granddaughter has to be fed by her family. I know it's hard out there.'
'We talk to people all the time who say, "This is what's bothering me." But the thing that's bothering everybody should not be the thing that puts 85% of other people in danger. I think that’s what we're saying,' she elaborated.
The comments come after grocers got angry at the Ghost star after she called them 'pigs' over the rising costs of food.
'The folks that own the groceries are pigs,' she said as she blamed them for rising prices at supermarkets on last Thursday’s show.
'Your pocketbook is bad, not because the Bidens did anything. Not because the economy is bad. Your grocery bills are what they are because the folks that own the groceries are pigs,' Goldberg said.
Meanwhile, The Color Purple actress is continuing her pledge to never say Trump's name, which has been her motto since he first got elected in 2016.

The View has been on the air since 1997. The current hosts are Goldberg, Haines, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Ana Navarro
After his win last week, Goldberg stated 'that's not going to change.'
Discussing the election results with her co-hosts, Goldberg expressed her disappointment that 'people didn't come out' to vote for Kamala Harris.
In 2018, Goldberg admitted that she never says Trump's name, telling CNN's The Axe Files that she 'can't' bear to say it or call him 'President'.
But her co-host Sunny Hostin, 56, took her frustration one step further, placing the blame on white women and Latino men.
