If the original $60 asking price put you off picking up Pokémon’s second First Partner Illustration Collection, Amazon has made the decision quite a bit easier by slipping the Series 2 box well below $40, leaving more than $20 between its current cost and MSRP.
As of Sept. 9, the Pokémon TCG: First Partner Illustration Collection—Series 2 can be bought for $37.63 at Amazon through third-party seller Collectors Expedition. Amazon handles the shipping, while Prime members currently get free delivery estimated between Sept. 28 and Oct. 9. At the $59.99 list price, that works out to $22.36 in savings, or 37% off.

If you want yours as quickly as possible for a slightly higher price, another listing is $39.99, with delivery shown for Sept. 10 at the time of writing.

The centerpiece of Series 2 isn’t its pair of regular booster packs of trading cards, but the separate promo pack tucked alongside them. It contains three of nine possible illustration rare-style cards featuring starters from Johto, Unova, and Galar, covering Chikorita through to Sobble. That’s along with a themed sticker sheet, rounding out the box.
On the other hand, if you want to save as much as possible — even going beyond Amazon — TCGplayer currently has sealed boxes for as low as $29.99 with shipping included. Going under its $29.61 market price, however, is Walmart, now selling the Pokémon TCG’s First Partner Illustration Collection—Series 2 for only $28.67.
