They’re fashionably on time.
Selena Gomez and her fiancé, Benny Blanco, were shocked to find they were some of the first people to arrive at one of Taylor Swift’s parties.
“As a couple, we went to Taylor’s party after some awards show,” Gomez recalled as she and Blanco appeared in Wednesday’s episode of Spotify’s “Countdown To” podcast.
The “Calm Down” singer thought it was “kind of cute” but was also “mortified.”
“Apparently cool people don’t show up to parties on time,” she quipped.
Blanco, 37, roasted Gomez, 32, for her overly punctual nature, admitting they always show up to events right on the dot.
“We’re the first people at every single party when I go with you,” he said before joking, “You, like, show up when my mother shows up to a party.”
The pop star reacted to the music producer’s playful razz by grimacing on camera.
Blanco then said he thought Gomez was going to talk about being embarrassed that they were still “hiding” their relationship at the “Cruel Summer” singer’s soirée.
“We didn’t even, like, touch each other or, like, really look at each other,” he said.
The songwriter recalled the actress being slightly jealous when other women went up to him at the party not knowing he was off the market.
“If, like, a girl came up to me or something, you were like, ‘Hmm,'” he said.
Gomez, however, denied his side of the story, responding with a smile, “No! Stop, don’t say that.”
It is unclear which of Swift’s parties the duo was referring to, though they were notably seen kissing during a trip to New York City for the “Blank Space” artist’s birthday in December 2023 — the same month Gomez confirmed she had been quietly dating Blanco for a while.
The couple went to great lengths to keep their relationship a secret at first.
Blanco reflected on one of his favorite dates with the “Only Murders in the Building” star in which they dressed up in disguises and walked around the Santa Monica Pier.
“I remember having so much fun being with you ’cause we could just fully let go and not worry about anything else,” he said. “We rode the Ferris wheel, and we got corn dogs and cotton candy.”
“It was so cute,” Gomez agreed, saying she was “in a state of ecstasy” on the romantic adventure.
The Grammy nominees, who are releasing a joint album titled “I Said I Love You First” on Friday, got engaged in December.
