Seth Meyers has put together a montage of crowds booing President Donald Trump, the latest such incident occurring last Sunday at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final. With how often it's happened, Trump's probably gotten used to being booed by thousands of people by now.
"At this point I'm guessing Trump's staff tries to make him feel better by telling him he's just being followed around by ghosts," Meyers quipped.
Trump's approval rating has plummeted since his inauguration last year, with The Economist's polling finding that he is the most unpopular U.S. president since its tracking began in 2009. Sports fans haven't been shy about letting Trump know how they feel either, booing him at multiple events across his second presidential term. These included the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final, 2025 US Open men's final, a NFL game last November, the NBA finals last month, and finally the recent World Cup final.
"If that montage gets any longer we're going to have to release it on DVD," joked Meyers.
