A roller coaster rider was met with a shocking surprise when they were hit in the face with a flying shoe in the middle of the ride.
Even so, they were able to catch the sneaker and ultimately reunited it with its owner, making for an epic ending.
Footage of the moment recently went viral on X, formerly Twitter, leaving many people enthralled.
While it's unclear who originally posted it, the video was shared on X by a popular user known as @RealAnn_29 this week.
The clip showed a man filming the ride when suddenly a white sneaker comes plummeting towards him.
The shoe crashed into him, but despite the high speed of the coaster and his apparent surprise over the sudden obstruction, the man was somehow able to grab it.
'Oh my God, I got it, I got it!' he was heard yelling, as he raised his hand up and showed the footwear to the camera.
'I got the shoe,' he continued to scream as the coaster went up and down hills and around the various twists and turns. 'I got hit in the face and caught a shoe!'

As the roller coaster pulled into the station, the people in the row in front of him turned around to share their surprise.
'You caught a shoe?' one astounded rider asked.
Upon exiting the ride vehicle, the man started to yell: 'Whose shoe do I have?' in an attempt to reunite it with its owner.
When hearing that he had retrieved her missing shoe, the owner and her friends started cheering with excitement.
With only one shoe on, she hobbled over to retrieve the runaway footwear while those around her laughed.
'This dude didn't just survive the drop… he caught a free souvenir mid-air. Honestly, it's the funniest thing I've seen!' they captioned the video.
It quickly went viral, gaining more than 989,000 views in a matter of days.
'This is a fantastic story. Usually people catch someone's lunch,' one user joked.
