A woman accused of the murder of her building superintendent over a rent dispute was seen smirking as she was perpwalked.
Sandra Navarro, 48, is charged with the murder of 55-year-old Jose Portillo, the superintendent of her apartment building in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens.
Officials in New York say Navarro attacked the father-of-three with a pipe, before attempting to dismember him.
Prosecutors say Navarro then wrapped his body in garbage bags and clothing before stuffing him underneath a bed inside the apartment.
Portillo had been at the residence to collect $23,000 in unpaid rent from Navarro and her husband on behalf of the landlord.
After his coworkers called the police later that day when he failed to return, police discovered his remains.
She was arraigned last week and charged with murder in the second degree, two counts of tampering with evidence and criminal possession of a weapon.
If convicted of the top count Navarro would face being imprisoned for 25 years to life. While being led from the 107 precinct by NYPD detectives she smirked at reporters.

After his coworkers contacted officers, they reviewed video surveillance of the property and spoke with Navarro.
She told cops that Portillo had been inside the apartment and that she had paid him the full amount.
After again reviewing surveillance footage officers found that Portillo was never seen leaving the building.
Navarro's husband had been the one who told officers where to find his remains, he is not facing charges as he had been at work all day and only returned home shortly before officers arrived.
Officers found his body underneath a bed and reported a strong smell of bleach and observed a mop which had what appeared to be blood near the bottom of the bed.
The city's Chief Medical Examiner said Portillo sustained multiple blunt force injuries to his head, and a bag was placed over his head which caused his death.
He also sustained knife injuries to his neck and left leg near the knee after he had died in the initial attack.
Neighbors told ABC7 that the death of Portillo had left them stunned, unable to believe the allegations Navarro faces.

One neighbor said: 'She was always sweet honestly. She was very, very sweet. I'm just a little surprised by this whole thing.'
A GoFundMe page has since been set up to assist Portillo's family with his funeral expenses.
The fundraiser describes him as a 'loving and father to his 3 children' that was a 'devoted family man'.
It adds: 'Known throughout his community for his incredible work ethic, he never hesitated to help others in need.
'His greatest joy in life was caring for his family, and his loss leaves an irreplaceable void in all our lives.'
District Attorney Katz said: 'This was a gruesome murder. As alleged, the defendant not only murdered the superintendent trying to collect rent, but attempted to dismember the lifeless victim, wrapped his body in black garbage bags and tried bleaching the area.
'Now, a life has been lost and a family is in upheaval because the defendant allegedly chose to resolve a rent dispute with violence.
'This is not the way a civilized society operates. The defendant will face justice for this heinous murder.'
