In this age of social media, it appears that anyone who believes themselves to be an expert feels the right to criticize athletes online - even when their performances are spectacular.

Enter Skip Bayless. The former Fox Sports pundit decided to unleash his venom on Duke star freshman basketball player Cooper Flagg.

Flagg had a dominant first half against nine-seed Baylor in the Blue Devils' Round of 32 game in the NCAA Tournament - leading his teammates going into halftime.

But apparently, despite his team high points and incredibly efficient shooting line (4-of-5), Bayless felt the need to find holes in the Maine native's game.

“Cooper Flagg had 15 [points] on 5 shot attempts in the first half to lead all scorers – Duke up 17 – while being unselfish to a fault,' Bayless posted to his account on X, formerly Twitter.

'Again and again I said, “Come on, just attack” as he worked the ball around to teammates. He could’ve had 30 if he wanted.'

Despite scoring 15 points on just five shots, Bayless believed that Flagg should've scored more

Flagg did perfectly fine for himself - finishing the night with 18 points and a win under his belt

Never mind that Flagg had just one assist in the first half (hardly 'working the ball around'), the Blue Devils went into the break dominating Baylor and up 17 points.

Flagg slowed down in the second half, hitting just 1-of-6 shots from the field to finish the night with 18 points.

He did, however, have five assists in the second frame to lead his teammates in dishes.

Meanwhile, fellow star Tyrese Proctor had a monster second half - going a perfect 5-of-5 from the field and 4-of-4 from 3-point range.

Proctor finished with a team-high 25 points as the one-seed Duke steamrolled over Baylor 89-66 to advance to the Sweet 16.

Duke will await the winner of Sunday's game between four-seed Arizona and five-seed Oregon for their matchup in Newark, New Jersey next week.
