SP Gastronomia returns to São Paulo across two August weekends in 2026. Turning the lawns of Parque Villa-Lobos into an open-air food court with more than 20 kitchens and a concert every night.

It runs Friday 21 to Sunday 23 August, then Friday 28 to Sunday 30 August. For anyone living in the city who loves to eat, it is one of the easiest weekends to plan.

What SP Gastronomia is, in plain terms

At heart, this is a festival where some of São Paulo’s best-known restaurants set up stalls in one park. So you can graze across many kitchens in a single afternoon.

Where it is and how to get there

SP Gastronomia takes over the Ilha Musical inside Parque Villa-Lobos, in the leafy Alto de Pinheiros district in the west zone. The park sits on Avenida Queiroz Filho, near the Marginal Pinheiros.

For public transport, the closest rail stop is Villa-Lobos-Jaguaré on CPTM Line 9 (Esmeralda), a short walk away. Otherwise, ride-hailing apps are the simplest option, since parking around the park fills quickly on event days.

Entry is paid, not free, and tickets are sold through Ticketmaster’s Brazilian site. First-lot prices were set at R$77 for a full ticket, about US$14.80.

And R$38.50 for the half-price entrada, roughly US$7.40, at a rate near R$5.19 to the dollar. That ticket covers access to the festival area and the daily concerts.

Subscribers of O Globo and Valor get 50% off up to four tickets. So it is worth checking if you already hold one of those.

What you will eat

More than 20 operations take part, mixing celebrated restaurants with hand-picked food trucks. Confirmed names include A Casa do Porco, Mocotó, the Grand Hyatt São Paulo, Osso.

Holy Burger, Camélia Òdòdó, QT Pizza Bar and Sushi Vaz, among others. Expect signature plates rather than full menus.

A Casa do Porco brings its famous Porco San Zé, for example. While Mocotó serves the dadinho de tapioca that made it a city favourite.

Dishes are bought individually inside, so bring a card and some cash.

The concerts, night by night

Music runs daily and is included with entry. On the first weekend, Péricles opens on Friday 21 August, a Gilberto Gil tribute by Bento Gil and Flor Gil lands on Saturday 22 August.

And Ferrugem headlines Sunday 23 August after a Beatles show for children. The second weekend brings Gabriel O Pensador on Friday 28 August.

Mãeana on Saturday 29 August, and Silva to close things on Sunday 30 August. There are afternoon children’s shows too, which makes the Sundays especially family-friendly.

Opening hours to plan around

Hours shift by day, so check before you set out. On Friday 21 August the gates open 6pm to 11pm, while Friday 28 August starts a little earlier, 5pm to 11pm.

Both Saturdays run noon to 11pm, and both Sundays run noon to 10pm. As a result, weekends give you the longest, most relaxed window to eat your way around.

Arrive early if you want the marquee dishes, because favourites like the Porco San Zé sell out on busy evenings. Meanwhile, going at lunch on a Saturday or Sunday means shorter queues and easier seating on the grass.

Buy your ticket online in advance rather than at the gate, and download a ride-hailing app before you travel. Since it is an outdoor park, dress for a cool São Paulo winter evening once the sun drops.

Where to stay and eat nearby

Alto de Pinheiros and neighbouring Pinheiros and Vila Madalena are handy bases. With plenty of guesthouses, apartments and hotels within a short ride.

All three are among the city’s best-loved dining and nightlife districts. If you want to keep the food theme going, Pinheiros is packed with bakeries, bars and restaurants for the day after.
