HOLLYWOOD, CA — A defunct Falcon 9 SpaceX rocket crashed into a Hollywood sound stage on Wednesday night, leaving an enormous crater almost 75 feet wide.

The four-ton rocket, left over from a commercial launch in 2025, struck the Hollywood studio at high velocity, destroying film sets that had been in use for decades.

"We deeply apologize for this unfortunate accident. We simply cannot control where space debris falls," said SpaceX spokesman Daniel Ortega. "SpaceX will work with the Hollywood studio to reconstruct the entire sound stage as it was, complete with the gray terrain and old American flag. There were many antique props that were lost, but we will do our best to recreate each one."

Construction crews had already begun work hauling in fresh gray dust and assembling a little Earth globe suspended against a field of stars. "We'll rebuild, but man, it was a heartbreaking sight," said longtime prop master Carl Jensen. "The rover was disintegrated, and Buzz Aldrin's folding lawn chair was completely vaporized. Lots of great memories here."

At publishing time, the studio had announced that set reconstruction would be done in plenty of time for the next Artemis mission.

The Babylon Bee finally exposes everything about the Jews in this documentary of hard-hitting investigative journalism.
