Victoria Beckham missed fellow Spice Girl Melanie Chisholm’s recent wedding because she had to report for WAG duty.

“Victoria was very disappointed to not be there. She was with David [Beckham] in New York and it was the football final, the World Cup,” Chisholm told Australia’s KIIS 106.5 on Wednesday.

“She tried to get out of it. She isn’t the biggest football fan — she won’t mind me telling you — but the family were there and David had commitments being an ambassador for FIFA.”

At the time, Page Six obtained photos of Victoria and her longtime husband, soccer superstar David, watching Spain beat Argentina during the World Cup Final alongside A-listers like Tom Cruise.

Despite missing the nuptials, the fashion designer still played a major role in her friend’s big day.

“Of course, she made my gorgeous dress, and she was messaging me on the day,” Chisholm gushed of Posh Spice.

“We were giving her updates and sending her pictures.”

Chisholm tied the knot with model Chris Dingwall in a romantic countryside wedding on July 18.

Fellow Spice Girls Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell-Horner and Melanie Brown joined Sporty Spice for the occasion, per the Daily Mail.

The singer’s 17-year-old daughter, Scarlett, from a previous relationship with Thomas Starr, was reportedly the singer’s bridesmaid.

The couple exchanged vows at the Country House Cumbria in England’s Lake District.

At the time, a source close to Victoria told the Daily Mail that she was disappointed to miss the special day.

“Victoria would have loved to have been there if she could,” the insider said.

“She was sad she couldn’t be there because she’s in the US with David and of course the World Cup plans had been set for a long time. But she was wishing her all the best from afar for Mel’s special day.”
