Insomniac Games has responded after Tom Holland and Zendaya revealed they are fans of their Spider-Man games, calling them “sensational” too.

Spider-Man fans have been treated to some of the best movie-to-game adaptations of all time. Spider-Man and Spider-Man, which were developed by Treyarch, are looked back with incredible fondness, while Insomniac Games have raised the bar with their Marvel’s Spider-Man series.

Even though Tom Holland isn’t actually involved in the game, it’s hard for fans not to make the connection, seeing as his Spider-Man has become so iconic in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Naturally, the Spider-Man actor does play the games, and so does his wife Zendaya. “The games are absolutely sensational,” he told IGN Benelux. “We love the games.”

Insomniac Games responds to Tom Holland & Zendaya’s praise

Zendaya noted that she gets “very frustrated” while playing because she wants to play the game by herself, but her husband will try to help. “I’m not very good at playing video games. He’ll try to come just like, ‘Let me help you.’ And I’m like, ‘No! I need to do this on my own. You can’t help me,” she added.

Their love for the games got onto Insomniac’s radar, who invited the pair down to the studio to take a behind-the-scenes look at things.

“Hey @TomHolland1996 and @Zendaya – if you’re ever near Burbank, you’re always welcome to swing by the studio to see how we make ’em! We’d love to show you around!” the devs said.

Holland also agreed that the opening sequence of Spider-Man: Brand New Day feels “inspired” by the games, with some key details coming over from the virtual world.

Insomniac have been working on Marvel’s Wolverine for PlayStation fans, but there have been rumors that the studio is working on a third instalment of the Spider-Man series.

It remains to be seen if that is the case, and whether or not the actors would get involved, seeing as they’ve now professed their love of the games.
