TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The spokesperson for the Iranian Foreign Ministry denied a report by the New York Times that Iran’s ambassador to the United Nations and Elon Musk, the world’s wealthiest person and a close ally of US President-elect Donald Trump, have met in New York.
In comments on Saturday, Esmaeil Baqaei categorically dismissed the media stories on a meeting between Saeed Iravani and Elon Musk in New York.
He expressed surprise at the extent of the speculation the American media outlets have been fueling about the issue.
The New York Times claimed on November 14 that the meeting between Musk and Iravani had been held at a secret location in New York.
It quoted Iranians as saying that the meeting had lasted more than an hour and was held at a secret location.
