Ja’han Jones got checkmated … badly.

ESPN superstar Stephen A. Smith issued a response Saturday to a column from MSNBC that criticized him, branding him a mouthpiece for the ‘Make America Great Again’ (MAGA) movement.

Defending himself, Smith said that he speaks with every side, whether it be Republican, Democrat, Independent, whoever.

“Let me express to you what I think about what he wrote. I think that’s the exact problem with the left,” said Smith. “If I don’t agree with you, I must be MAGA, it must be the case. I’m platforming MAGA propaganda, is that so? I don’t view it that way.”

Criticizing the Democrats since their defeat in the 2024 general election, Smith lashed out at a piece written by MSNBC opinion blogger Ja’han Jones. In the column, Smith is hit with allegations of being a “megaphone for MAGA propaganda,” and had a clear problem with Smith talking to guests who are conservative. “Us pointing out these things that are wrong with the Democratic Party makes me bad? Makes me a megaphone for the MAGA right?” said Smith during his podcast. “They’re on the right, so there’s no reason to listen to them, I’m not that dude. On this platform, it’s very, very important that I say to y’all this, on this platform, it’s very, very important that we understand this. I’m going to talk to everybody that I can.”

And that’s when Stephen A. brought out the receipts.

“Did you bring up Josh Shapiro, the governor of Pennsylvania? Did you bring up Wes Moore, the governor of Maryland? Did you bring up Hakeem Jeffries, the minority leader for the House of Representatives for the United States of America?”

And the list goes on and on and on.
